Bio

Richard Salino is a Brooklyn-based producer and audio engineer.

Richard started making records in his parents’ house in South Florida, first for his own bands and then slowly for other people. He built his first studio in a converted warehouse and spent five years making mistakes and growing from them. He moved to Athens, GA in 2011 and worked out of Studio 1093 and Chase Park Transduction, learning how to make coffee and align tape machines. From there he moved to New York in 2014 to work at Studio G Brooklyn.

Richard has engineered for and assisted Tony Maimone, Scotty Hard, Chris Cubeta, Joel Hamilton, and Steve Albini on sessions with Liturgy, Noura Mint Seymali, A Great Big World, Red Baraat, Savoir Adore, and others. He has extensive experience as a dialog editor for film and audiobooks, working on releases for Simon & Schuster and Audible. In addition to his studio work, Richard has worked as a front of house mixer at the Bowery Ballroom, Music Hall of Williamsburg, and Brooklyn Bowl, as well as touring with such artists as Psychic TV, Sertab Erener, and Clap Your Hands Say Yeah. In late 2022, he helped to convert the C Room at Studio G into an Atmos-ready mix room.

Recently, Richard has mixed records for Helak, Space Cade7s, LAPêCHE, Adios Ghost, and Sonic Blume.
